Volunteering is a great way to support the refuge! The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge could not accomplish its many projects and programs without the assistance of dedicated volunteers.
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at the refuge, such as helping with Visitor Center Hosting, Environmental Education, Bird Surveys, Wildlife Gardening and many other positions for different types of interests. All volunteers are provided with necessary training and uniforms for the positions.

For more information on the MINWR volunteer program, please call 321-681-0668 or visit: http://www.fws.gov/refuge/Merritt_Island/what_we_do/get_involved.html
